GameSpot estimates GTA 6 on PC in early 2028; no official date

GameSpot’s estimate is the first quarter of 2028

GameSpot’s October 7 article puts its GTA 6 PC prediction at Q1 2028, meaning January through March of that year.

Author Cheri Faulkner explicitly frames this as an editorial guess based on Rockstar’s history of bringing games to PC after consoles. It is neither a date announced by Rockstar nor a schedule attributed to an insider.

That offers PC players one publication’s view of the wait ahead. Purchase plans still need an official announcement; our GTA 6 PC guide tracks the known status.

The month range does not exactly match the quarter

The article also describes a gap of roughly 15–18 months after consoles. Applied to the current console schedule, 15 months lands in February 2028, while 18 months lands in May 2028, which is in the second quarter.

“Q1 2028” and “15–18 months later” therefore should not be treated as interchangeable precise windows. This is a calendar check of the wording, not a competing release prediction.

Previous gaps help explain the author’s estimate; they cannot determine how long this particular PC release would take. Speculation about later consoles, multiplayer or PC enhancements does not establish release conditions either.

Rockstar still lists the console versions

When rechecked on October 9, Rockstar’s GTA VI website still listed PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, without a PC release date.
