Rockstar has not announced a price, and the PlayStation listings for the add-on currently show it as unavailable.
Is there a physical Ultimate Edition?
No. The Ultimate Edition is digital only. Boxed Standard Edition owners can buy the upgrade after redeeming the download code in the box.
Do you miss pre-order bonuses by upgrading later?
No. Both editions come with the same pre-order bonuses, so a Standard Edition bought before November 20, 2026 already has them.

Can you upgrade from Standard to Ultimate?
Yes. Rockstar Support says the Ultimate Edition Upgrade “will also be available for Grand Theft Auto VI: Standard Edition owners to purchase separately at any time.” You buy it as a digital add-on from the PlayStation Store or the Microsoft Store.
That means you do not have to settle the edition question when you pre-order. Buying the Standard Edition keeps the upgrade open for later.
If you bought the boxed version
The boxed Standard Edition contains a download code, not a disc. Redeem that code on your console first; after that, the upgrade can be bought from the PlayStation or Microsoft store like any other add-on. There is no physical Ultimate Edition. More on the box in does GTA 6 come on disc.
What the upgrade adds
The upgrade is the Ultimate Edition’s 16 exclusive items: vehicles, weapons, clothing and several shops. The price and editions guide lists all of them.
Rockstar Support also says the items are “threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia’s story, with new items uncovered behind each chapter”. They turn up as the story goes on, not all at once at the start.
Upgrading later does not cost you any bonus. Both editions have the same pre-order bonuses, including the Vintage Vice City Pack.
How much does the upgrade cost?
