GTA 6 An Extended Look — Release Date and Where to Watch

What was released

On August 27, 2026, Rockstar released An Extended Look, the first long-form showing of Grand Theft Auto VI. Rockstar says it was “captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5.” It arrived 84 days before the November 19 launch.

When and where it premiered

Date	What happened
August 6, 2026	Rockstar announced the showing and its Netflix premiere
August 27, 2026, 3pm ET	Premiered on Netflix
August 27, 2026, 9pm ET	Released on YouTube and Rockstar’s website

Watching it now

The official video is available on Rockstar’s website and on YouTube. The YouTube upload is age-restricted, so it has to be watched on YouTube itself and may ask you to sign in; it will not play when embedded on other sites.

What the footage does and does not confirm

The showing gives the longest look yet at Leonida, but footage is not a feature list. A scene in a video shows what a moment looks like; it does not on its own confirm a mission, a mechanic or a system. Rockstar has not published a breakdown of what the showing contains.

Where to go next

• GTA 6 gameplay: everything the showing puts on screen
• GTA 6 trailers: every official trailer and showing
• Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos: the two protagonists
• State of Leonida: the regions seen so far
