GTA 6 PC Release Date — Status, Specs and the 2027 Estimate

Official PC status

Not announced. GTA 6 releases on November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only, and Rockstar’s game website lists no PC version.

PC release detail	Status

Steam, Epic or Rockstar Games Launcher page	Not announced
PC features (graphics options, mod support and so on)	Not announced

Where “2027” comes from

Rockstar’s last two big games came out on consoles first and on PC later:

Game	Console release	PC release	Gap
Grand Theft Auto V	September 2013	April 2015	About 19 months
Red Dead Redemption 2	October 2018	November 2019	Just over a year

Apply those gaps to GTA 6’s November 2026 release and you get mid-2028 and late 2027. That is where the 2027 figure comes from. It is arithmetic, not a Rockstar plan, and how earlier games were released says nothing certain about this one.

What Take-Two said in September 2026

At Take-Two’s September 17 annual shareholder meeting, CEO Strauss Zelnick was asked about the company’s PC release cadence. According to reports from PC Gamer and GamesRadar, he said Take-Two generally releases on platforms with a meaningful audience and that PC is becoming increasingly important to the company.

That is useful context, but it was not a GTA 6 PC announcement. Zelnick gave no platform confirmation, date, system requirements or store information. The official launch platforms remain PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?

Rockstar has not announced a PC version, a release date or a store listing. The late-2027 and mid-2028 comparisons above come from the gaps between earlier console and PC releases; neither confirms a GTA 6 plan. The Steam guide covers the storefront question.

Have GTA 6 PC requirements been announced?

No minimum or recommended PC requirements have been published. Rockstar has not announced CPU, GPU, RAM or storage requirements for a PC version. A specification table based on another game is an estimate, not official GTA 6 requirements.

Our advice is to wait for requirements published by Rockstar or an official store before choosing hardware for GTA 6. A future PC announcement would not, by itself, establish the specifications or promise when they will be published.
