The short answer
GTA 6 releases on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That is the date on Rockstar’s game website, and it has not changed since it was announced on November 6, 2025.

Release date and unlock time are not the same thing
The release date is the day; the exact unlock time depends on the platform and store region. The US PlayStation Store lists 05:00 UTC on launch day, which is midnight Eastern or 9:00 p.m. Pacific the previous evening. Hong Kong and Taiwan PlayStation listings show midnight in their own time zones, so the US listing is not the only published time.
The Xbox listings cited here do not specify an unlock time. Check the store page for your account region; the preload and launch-time guide explains the documented regional differences.
How the date got here
GTA 6 has been delayed twice:

Rockstar explained both delays. The May 2025 announcement said “we need this extra time to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve”; the November 2025 announcement said the extra months would let the studio deliver “the level of polish you expect and deserve”. When does GTA 6 come out?
The launch date above applies to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar repeated it when pre-orders opened in June 2026. Digital pre-orders can preload from November 12, but downloading early does not let you play before your store’s unlock time.
Will GTA 6 be delayed again?
Rockstar has not announced another delay in the official material cited here. The two earlier delays and Rockstar’s reasons are listed above. Opening pre-orders, publishing edition contents and setting a preload date do not guarantee that the schedule cannot change.
