Trailer 1: “Love Is a Long Road”

The song that runs through the first trailer is “Love Is a Long Road” by Tom Petty, from his 1989 album Full Moon Fever. Rockstar credits it in the description of the official upload, listing Tom Petty and Mike Campbell as the writers.

    Trailer 2: “Hot Together”

The second trailer is cut to “Hot Together” by The Pointer Sisters, a 1986 track written by Sharon Robinson. It is credited in the description of the official upload. That description also notes the trailer was captured in-game on a PlayStation 5.

Other songs heard in the first two trailers

These are not credited by Rockstar. PC Gamer picked them out by ear from the background of the two trailers:

    • “Child Support” by Zenglen
    • “Everybody Have Fun Tonight” by Wang Chung
    • “Talkin’ to Myself Again” by Tammy Wynette

    An Extended Look: 14 tracks

Rockstar did not publish a song list for the 26-minute video. The tracks below were identified by PC Gamer, and Kotaku’s count is also 14.

PC Gamer also noted that a longer version of the theme music from Trailer 2 plays in the video. For what the footage shows, see the Extended Look breakdown.

Launch Trailer: “Flower in a Hurricane”

The Launch Trailer, released on October 15, 2026, debuts “Flower in a Hurricane” by Justice, featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. The official Launch Trailer page credits it, and Rockstar’s Newswire post calls Justice the composers of the game’s original score.

Unlike the earlier trailer songs, this one is new music: Rockstar describes it as a standalone single, and it is also on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. See the Launch Trailer report for what was and was not announced.

Will these songs be in the game?

The October 8 radio announcement introduces six stations but does not assign the trailer songs to their playlists. A promotional video alone does not establish which station will play a particular track. Rockstar has not said whether “Flower in a Hurricane” plays in the game either; its confirmed home is the album.

Rockstar also has a separate release: Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, with 34 original tracks and six debut singles, covered in our album news. For the announced station names, hosts, genres and headphone listening, see the October 8 radio and podcast reveal. The new announcement does not map the album or trailer songs to individual stations.
