Is GTA 6 on Game Pass or PS Plus? Not Announced for Either
The short answer
No. GTA 6 has not been announced for Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus. The Xbox and PlayStation stores both sell it as a regular purchase from $79.99, with no subscription label. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said in 2024 that putting a new full-price game into a subscription on launch day would not fit how the company makes decisions.

Background and full explanationFurther context and details
Is GTA 6 on Game Pass?
No, not as far as anything announced goes. The Xbox Store listing sells Grand Theft Auto VI as a regular purchase from $79.99. It carries no Game Pass label, and neither Rockstar nor Microsoft has announced the game for the service.
Is GTA 6 on PlayStation Plus?
No. The PlayStation Store listing sells the Standard Edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99 in the US. No PlayStation Plus Game Catalog inclusion has been announced.
What Take-Two has said about subscriptions
Take-Two, Rockstar’s parent company, has spoken about this in general terms. In August 2024, CEO Strauss Zelnick told GamesIndustry.biz that offering “a frontline title with a premium price in a subscription service, day and date” would push players to that service for a time, but that “it won’t affect our decisions because our decisions are rational,” as reported by Push Square.
He was talking about company policy, not announcing anything about GTA 6 by name. Older Rockstar games have joined subscription catalogs years after release, so a later addition is possible, but nothing points to a date.
GTA+ is a different thing
GTA+ is Rockstar’s own membership. Its benefits apply to GTA Online, and it does not give you GTA 6. What you get with GTA 6 is one free month of GTA+ when you buy either digital edition before November 20, 2026. It renews as a paid subscription unless you cancel. The terms are in the pre-order guide.
Do you need a subscription to play?
Nothing announced so far says so. Rockstar describes GTA 6 as a single-player experience, and the PlayStation Store listing marks it as “Offline play enabled” for one player. No online mode has been announced, so there are no stated requirements for PlayStation Plus or Game Pass. See GTA 6 online multiplayer.
The Netflix title is also not a way to play. It is a video; see GTA 6 on Netflix.
